Cornerstone Counseling offers marital, premarital, individual, and family therapy. Therapeutic topics include grief, depression, anger, relationships, guilt, abuse, teenage rebellion, suicide and self-harm, conflict, infidelity, communication problems, spiritual problems, codependency, anxiety, and career issues. Opening up, sharing one’s inner most thoughts, and taking on one’s self can be scary. All clients are dealt with in a caring manner that empathizes with life difficulties, but that offers an encouraging push where necessary. A variety of approaches are used depending on the issue and the client. But
regardless, individuals, couples, and families are always treated with professional competence and strict confidentiality. Whatever the problem, clients are encouraged to develop new and different approaches in a respectful and supportive environment. Client goals are clearly stated with a focus on tapping into and increasing personal strengths, while eliminating problematic approaches and habits. Though never ‘preachy’, Cornerstone Counseling also takes a ‘faith-based’ approach to healthy living. Since God is the author and creator of life, He is the ‘Cornerstone’ of our therapeutic approach that includes the highest standards in thought and behavior.
